Travis Parker (Elk Grove, California) - HHEW '11
Travis Parker is presently a professor of physical education at Cosumnes River College where he has worked since 1972. He has been Director of Education for Zeta Beta Lambda Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha since 1996. He is co-founder and co-director of The Alpha Academy since 2005. Travis is a mentor to youth in the community and students and faculty at the college. He has a passion for helping others.
Cleveland Percy, Jr. (Redding, California) - HHEW '09
Cleveland Percy, Jr. resides in Redding, California, but grew in Helena, Arkansas. He is a graduate of the University of Central Arkansas, Business Administration program. He enjoyed a 27 year career working for USDA retiring as a contracting officer. His interests and activities include community service, cultural anthropology and journalism.Hobbies include collecting items from African-American history, vinyl records from the delta blues, soul & jazz genre, and he enjoys the game of chess. Cleveland is currently involved with our local chess club and promotion of scholastic chess for youth. Cleveland and his wife Paula, a registered nurse, are blessed with two wonderful kids Dominique and Joshua.
Andre Peery (Roanoke, Virginia) - HHEW '12
I was born and grew up in Salem, Virginia. I am a Quality (ISO 9000-2K) Auditor/Consultant and Computer Technology Specialist. I have worked in Quality for over 30 years and with modern computers 25 years. I have a current secret clearance and have held a top secret crypto clearance with my Air Force job. I have had extensive training in manufacturing, electronic and software technology, quality management systems and quality concepts. I have also been a trainer, program developer, program manager and facilitator. I am still learning and gaining new skills and knowledge. After working the last 5 years as a District Executive with the Blue Ridge Mountains Council of Boy Scouts of America it is time from me to move on. That is why I am looking at this opportunity.
Barbara Reynolds Love (Clarksville, Tennessee) - HHEW '13
My name is Barbara Reynolds Love. I am a native of Roanoke, Virginia, presently living in Clarksville, Tennessee . I'm a graduate of Great Plains Vocational School and Cameron University in Lawton, Oklahoma. I am a Practical Licensed Nurse who is self-employed. I am a veteran of the U.S. Army and a wife of a retired military man. I have three grown sons and six grandchildren. I enjoy spending time with family every chance I get, even if it's just to watch a movie. My other interests are cooking, dancing, reading and traveling.
Damali Robertson (Hayward, California) - HHEW '01
Damali Robertson joined Level Playing Field’s Development Team as a grant writer in 2011. Prior to LPFI, she worked in Development at the Haas Center for Public Service at Stanford University. In that role, she was responsible for stewarding donors, conducting research on funding opportunities and program outcomes. Additionally, Damali was a leader on issues of diversity and inclusion serving as the convener of the Inclusive Haas Committee charged with developing and overseeing projects related to power, privilege and identity as well as chairing the African Service Fellowship selection committee. Damali is passionate about social justice. Through her Blog Talk Radio show, Ennufff, she and her co-host Karen Ayee, raise awareness about the trauma associated with sexual violence. Damali is also an avid writer and life-long poet (she’s been writing poetry for 30 years). Damali graduated from Pitzer College with a double major in Political Science and Literature from Africa and the Diaspora, and earned an MA in Communications for Social and Behavior Change from the University of the West Indies, Mona Campus in Kingston, Jamaica.
